White Shield Tourney & Feast + Mists Archery Championship

March 14, 2009

Location: Barony of Darkwood (Tres Pinos, CA) - San Benito County Fairgrounds
Autocrat: Rowan Buchanan
Site fee: $5. Non-member surcharge: $3.

Come and celebrate with the Barony of Darkwood during their 22nd annual White Shield Tournament followed by a feast in honor of the new Baron and Baroness; Juan Santiago and Rose de LeMans. There will be both Heavy and Rapier Tournaments. Lists open and armor inspections begin at approx. 9:30am with invocation shortly after. The Prince and Princess of the Mists will also hold an archery tournament to select their next Archery Champion of the Mists. More information on this will be in the March Page.

The feast will be prepared by the infamous 4 Katherines. (See menu below) Please contact Katherine ni Cheallaigh of Skye (purpleviking@sbcglobal.net) with any questions regarding allergies/restrictions as soon as possible.

Site Information: San Benito County Fairgrounds / Tres Pinos CA. Site opens at 9 am and closes at 10 pm. Feast will begin at 5 pm. Site Fee: Site fee will be $5 ($8 for non-members), the feast is $10 for adults and $5 for 10 and under. Directions: From the North: Take Hwy 101S to Hwy 25. Turn left on Wright Rd (becomes McCloskey Rd) At the end, turn right on Fairview Rd. Turn left on Airline Hwy. Go through Tres Pinos to the fairgrounds. Use second entry. From the South: Take Hwy 101N to Hwy 156E. Turn right onto Union Rd. Turn right on Airline Hwy and follow to the fairground. From the East: From Hwy 5, take Hwy 152W. Turn left onto Hwy 156. At Fairview Rd, turn left. At Airline Hwy turn left and follow to fairgrounds.
